Judgment starts in the house of God. Before God judges America, He will judge the American church. The nation will never recover unless the church is first revived and improved. The Ephesian church had a lot going for it and was commended for many good things, but Christ had one thing against them, and oh what a thing! That one thing -- the leaving of their first love -- was offensive enough to Christ (in spite of all their successes) that Christ threatened to remove their lampstand if they did not repent.
