In our chapter we see how David showed the kindness of God to Mephibosheth, and therefore what the kindness of God looks like. God searches for undeserving sinners to be gracious to, he finds us lost and ruined survivors of Adam's fall, and he gives us the security of his provision of pardon and restoration, and a position at his table as one of his sons. That is the kindness of God.
