Proverbs describes two ways, the way of wisdom and the way of folly. In Proverbs 5 the way of folly is illustrated with the example of adultery, and solemnly warned against. There are two parts to the remedy: the first is negative, avoidance; the second is positive, the glorious blessing of marriage that God has created. Finally we are reminded that we live in God's universe; God sees, and sin has its consequences.
