Nathanael was a man who was honest with others and with himself and he was honest with God. This is the kind of person God can work with. The place where people meet God always is at the point where they approach Him with out any guile. The day you first came to God, all the guile slipped away and you faced God with out any pretense or make believe. You were, for once in your life, brutally honest with God about yourself and your actions before Him were not self- conscious acts to do the right thing or to make the best impression on God that you could. All façades fell and you got real with God. That is how our life is meant to continue. True spirituality doesn't know its being spiritual and it doesn't know how to act spiritual. It takes no note of it's conduct so that it can remember how to be that way again. It is honest and real and doesn't role play with God. Unfortunately, guilelessness is not a common trait in our world today. We live in a melodramatic age where we our judged on our act. And our act is considered reality. The scary thing is that we are so good at acting that we often forget or cannot even tell when that is exactly what we are doing. WARNING: BEWARE OF A KIND OF SCRIPTED CHRISTIANITY. Get the real thing. Don't follow a script. Follow The Lord Jesus. Love Him and always be true to Him.
