If God is at work in your life, this will be a distinct reality. He will use you to plead with the men and women of this world to be saved from this perverse generation in which we live. If you are not burdened by the eternal condition of a lost world, you need Jesus yourself. If you believe the preaching of the gospel is for others to do and not for you, you are still lost in your sins. If you are not a deliverer of souls, you are a false witness and are perishing in your iniquity and unbelief: "A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies" (Proverbs 14:25). I'm not going to tell you a lie. If you have never been purposeful and intentional in making disciples, you are perishing in your sins. If you had been a disciple-maker in the past and you're not at work making disciples for God's glory at this time in your life, you are acting like a fool. No matter how you look at it, you need to repent and get right with God.
God gives us a wise warning in the book of Proverbs about giving a message to a fool: "He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage" (Proverbs 26:6). God does not tell us to do something He Himself does not practice. No! He's teaching us how He works, and He desires us to do the same. Giving a message to a fool is a foolish idea. It will only hurt you in the end. Paul says God gives His servants a message. The gospel is the message He gives to His servants. If you know you belong to the Lord and you're not preaching the gospel, you must be acting like a fool...
