In an incredible display of arrogance, Satan attacks Job before the throne of God, accusing him of a selfish faith -- believing God only to get material blessings. In granting Satan permission to test Job, we see that Satan is limited, he cannot go beyond God's ordained boundaries, and even the devil's Advocate (Mrs. Job) furthers the Lord's purposes. Although the test of his faith appears to be "without cause," we see that the Lord is glorified and Job is blessed. In the end, Satan is nowhere to be found as he is run off the stage by God's almighty power and Job's repentance.
