The issue is not — Am I a sinner… but Am I a believer? For everyone is a sinner who inevitably sins regularly. Being a sinner is inescapable and unavoidable. Sinning is as natural as the next breath you take. The real issue comes down to this: Am I a believer?
Doing wrong is a part of life in a fallen world. But believing wrong means being wrong. God has made it possible to deal with all the wrong we do by giving us His Son. His Son paid the ultimate price for the missed marks of doing wrong but nothing short of believing rightly about Him can deal with being wrong on everything. Doing wrong is the sin of missing the standards of God. Believing wrong is the sin of unbelief —and this sin misses the mark on God's Son and His witness…
