The psalmist cries out, "God of Vengeance, shine forth." Do we realize today that God is a God of Vengeance? Do we realize that He is willing to punish His enemies, if we call on Him to do so? Or have we succumbed to the idolatrous view of God, in which He is portrayed as a god of love only, and a sentimental love at that? We are to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us, but we can still pray that God bring about righteous judgment on His enemies.

Great Sermon! Powerful. A far cry from the wimpy Christianity and wimpy praying today. I'd not heard of this praying until the recent past when I listened to a mini series Phil Johnson did on predatory prayers in God's Word.
