In Luke 4 we find Jesus 'glorified by all' people 'astonished at his teaching, all of the 'amazed', spreading reports and seeking after Jesus but it all for naught. Just as Paul shows in I Corinthians 13, without a Biblical love for God it is of NO PROFIT. Pastor Stoos uses this important section to ask how we can know that we are properly glorifying our Lord and Savior? How can we be sure we are not falling into the same sins of these people who could glorify Jesus at one moment and want to cast Him over cliff the next? He turns to the simple instructions of the Westminster Shorter Catechism and Children's Catechism to show how we rightly glorify God and enjoy Him forever. In conclusion he shows the teaching of Hebrews 12 presents two paths for us to follow: Looking unto Jesus or being weary and discouraged.
