How do real seekers distinguish themselves from superficial seekers? This is a major passage on the subject of seeking to know more about the kingdom of God. Jesus does not familiarly disclose Himself to all alike. This lesson included an object lesson on the "Ribbons of Regeneration" in which several strips of paper were attached to a small fan (wind-machine). The strips of paper had writing on them. One had "loving the brethren". Another had "keeping His commandments". Another said purifies himself". The wind generated by the fan moved the ribbons, illustrating the fact that as you can't see the wind but you can see the effects of the wind, so also you can't see the Holy Spirit but you can see the effects of the Spirit.
