Sin manifests itself through the desires of the heart of unbelievers. Those desires are dominated by the power of sin while being driven by the pursuit of satisfaction. Sinful desires seek sinful satisfaction so that the body is put to dishonorable use. As sin controls the desires the truth of what is right, even that revealed by the general revelation of creation, is suppressed. Overriding and corrupting natural desires as satisfaction is pursued results in further corruption of what is an insatiable appetite. The lie is believed that pleasure and happiness will be found in the pursuit of satisfaction sinfully to the end of the road of misery and destruction, just as God says it will. Such is every person going their own way, without God. But God. He is there and He does have the greater power to rescue by means of faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
