May the light and wisdom of God and His insight found in Proverbs continue to warn us to avoid and stay away from faulty wisdom, foolish ways, forbidden women, fleeing wealth and frivolous wine, as we walk in God's lovely ways (Proverbs 23:19-35).
Here's a little insider info on life and love. There's a pretty good chance that what we/you glamorize our/your children will idolize.
I highly recommend that you play no part in the ugly drama that intentionally introduces your little ones to something that has the potential and power to wreck their lives and families in the future. Give it up...
That beer and wine, is not worth it! That liquor or self medicating, or anything of that nature, ain't worth glamorizing. Because nothing is worth idolizing. Give your children something better to rely upon and something far greater to find hope in. They know WHY you turn to it... they're not ignorant nor innocent to your motives. Don't set them up nor provide them with a stage to display your folly in the days ahead. Show them NOW, where you are, that they don't need it to have fun, or to cope with life or to escape the pain of disappointments and let downs or to relax after a busy and stressful day. Don't mislead them with your actions today... to open that door tomorrow, when life gets tough and days are long. Tomorrow is coming...
