I. Walk (Keep in step with) in the Spirit - 5:24-26
v. 24 - have crucified the flesh - Gal. 2:20-21 v. 25 - Walk (Keep in step) with the Spirit. It's a different verb than the "walk" of v.16. v. 26 - Flows right into 6:1.
II. Restoring the Brother in Transgression - 6:1
A. We are to Gently confront their sin(s).
B. We are to Humbly confront their sin(s).
C. We are to Consider that we too can be overtaken in a trespass.
1. We should first of all, be willing to give our brother the benefit of a doubt and not simply assume the worst.
2. We need to make sure they really are on the wrong path.
III. Life in the Church - 6:2-5
Verse 3 links back to 5:26.
Verses 1-2 show we are to be our brother's keeper.
Verses 4-5 Comparing ourselves against those we consider to be inferior is not the way of holiness - but instead the way of self-righteousness - and we know self-righteousness was a real problem for the Galatians.
