But what has Charles ever done to deserve to be King? He's not fought and won any wars. His right to rule in not based on the people's choice, but solely on blood line! Now, Jesus Christ on His return will rule this world as the conquering King. He will also rule this world in fulfillment of the promises and prophecies concerning the future king. But does Jesus Christ have a legitimate claim to the throne of David? Is He in the proper blood line? And if so, what does His family tree reveal about the character of His reign? From the genealogy records in Matthew and in Luke, we learn that indeed Jesus Christ does have a legitimate blood claim to a future Davidic kingdom. In fact, due to lost genealogical records, He is the LAST VERIFIABLE CLAIMANT to the throne! And what His family tree reveals is that He is full of grace. Grace revealed in preserving the nation of Israel, and grace revealed in individuals listed in his ancestral line!
