Being turned over to their sin they are bringing upon themselves the destruction and misery that is the ultimate reality of sin. Those giving approval are not innocent bystanders and will be held accountable by God. Those who see themselves as religious and righteous by their own moral choices are no less in need of a right relationship with God if they are trusting in their own efforts and works. God is holy and when He is regarded as such then there is no sense of self-righteousness but rather a humble and confessing spirit crying out to God for forgiveness with a repentance of sin.
