Let me go so far as to say, one's spiritual life cannot be "divorced" from his marriage. His godliness is expressed in his marriage and his marriage is a good mirror into his spiritual life. For example, if a couple is always arguing and having problems in their marriage, is it not a reflection of their hearts? Nobody has a perfect marriage but one's Christian maturity comes through in the marriage.
I. ONE, dealing treacherously (faithlessness) with one another stains or profanes the covenant (v. 10). II. TWO, marrying an unbeliever is an act of treachery (vv. 11-12). III. THREE, unlawful divorcing of a believing spouse is an act of treachery (vv. 13-16).
