It is the true Gospel that is important, and not just believing a doctrine of the "changed life" or "outward reform" or "self improvement programs"....etc.
Many today think they are saved, but they have only submited to a list of rules and "will worship"...sad to say. This indeed has a "show of wisdom" in doing "what is right", but remember, Satan can transform himself into a "minister of righteousness". He says..."Do right, do right, do right"....but he does not tell you how to saved by Christ alone and by the imputed righteousness of Christ alone!
It is a New Life that is important, the new Life of Christ within us, and not just a turning over a "new leaf"...etc. Turning over a "new leaf" could be the work of the flesh, and not the work of the Spirit.
