We are told here that the Father has put all things under Christ's feet when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand; far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Therefore, it will be important for every Christian not to mistake His meaning, but learn to rightly divide the word of God in respect to this important truth of what it means for Christ to have all things under His feet. It will be important that we understand these things, in order to understand what the Father has purposed, what the Father is doing, and what the Father will do, in relation to the salvation of souls and the advance of Christ's kingdom throughout this Church age. I will attempt to explain to you tonight, the 3 aspects of meaning which I believe that this phrase holds – And He put all things under His feet. They relate to Christ's Dominion, and the universal extent of His righteous reign over all men, and the Church. We will look 1st – At the failed aspect of Adam's Dominion over all created things. 2nd – The "lifting up" aspect of Christ's Dominion being established. And 3rd – The progressively successful aspect of Christ's Dominion being established over all the earth, and His kingdom conquering among the nations.
