In this third and last sermon in this series, we focus on those expressions in the text wherein Paul speaks of the glorification of Christ's strength in the weakness of the believer. When we feel strong, we are proud and self-sufficient. We take credit for things we have no business taking credit for. We exalt ourselves. That's why God gives us thorns in our flesh. So that we will be weak and Christ will be shown as the strong one in us. He will strip away all our self-sufficiency so that we will know He is the One working powerfully. Once Paul knew the purpose of the thorn, he said he most gladly would rejoice in it -- in weaknesses, hardships, persectuions, etc. Are you able to rejoice in your sufferings? Are you glad that God has made you weak, so that He can show His strength in you?
