Prayer is an expression and exercise of Faith. We believe and are persuaded that God is real. It is an expression of the life of Christ in us. Prayer is the hardest work, but people of faith are praying people. It is a good thing to set aside precious time, to pray. Sometimes, it can seem not worthwhile and we begin to entertain hard and negative thoughts.
Scripture teaches persistence in prayer, as though we will not take no for an answer. Keep on in prayer, it is still a time for asking. Pray often for things that will bring more of the Holy Spirit into the life of the believer. Pray to be a better Christian; to fear God more; to be more God centred. The church needs people who are praying. It is still a time for asking: God loves His children to come ans ask Him.
Ask with faith and conviction, and remember that God is generous. Believe that He knows best. Will He give if we don't ask? Of one thing we can be sure, God will be glorified.
