The Preparation for the Law Exodus 19:1-25 INTRODUCTION: God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and desired to make them His special people through the covenant of the law. They already possessed the promise of Abraham which offered righteousness by faith (Galatians 3:6). The law was never intended to disannul the promise; rather, the two would coexist (Galatians 3:17). However, generally speaking, the law was given to show the Israelites the mind of God so that they might keep themselves pure for the sake of fellowship with God. In turn, this law would elevate the nation of Israel over every other nation in the world.
