In this message, Lot clearly portrays the struggle of sin the in life of a believer in Romans 7.
1. The man that was converted Lot was a just and righteous man and God had saved his soul. He was a godly man and not walking after the flesh.
2. The mixture that is confusing In the events of this story we see grace mixed with sin. - the events in and around the house Lot shows grace as he shows hospitality, but then we see sin when Lot offered his family to be used for wicked things so that the angels would be protected. - the events as they depart the city Lot's faith is shown when he pleads with his family to leave the city when God says he will destroy it. - the events as they were on the run Prayer and humble reverence are seen in Lot, but he still has fears that following God's command will bring him danger. Therefore, we see that though Lot is a saved man, he is not the complete package yet. He still has sin in his life.
3. The mercy that is comforting Even though Lot sins and has doubt, God has mercy and brings him to a place of safety.
