We looked at the vision and voice of Isaiah (Isaiah 6) in this message to ask this important question. The more important question is not, "Did I believe or commit to Jesus?" but rather, "Did Jesus commit to me when I committed and believed Him." Which leads us to ask, "Why did I believe Jesus?" John's gospel helps us see how people believed Jesus — yet — why they believed and what they believed about Him did not fit with who He was nor His purpose in coming, living and dying to redeem and rescue His sheep. And when He confronted them on the reason and purpose for His coming they were offended of such a thought and they didn't need Him for that. Which manifested they believed Him like they would believe any other man but not that He was God nor that He came to save them from themselves, to save them from their sin, to save them from this world, to save them from Satan, and mainly to save them from Himself and His wrath, when He saved them for Himself. Redeeming faith that grace ushers in sees, agrees and acts on what God reveals. These Jews didn't see, agree and act on what God revealed because they lacked grace and faith... they couldn't see what God revealed, for all they could see was a wise and powerful man who had something other men didn't have. But when Isaiah saw God... He became undone and unclean in His presence.
