If we view ourselves rightly, we will understand how much our Lord has truly forgiven us. This gratefulness brings us to the Lord as the woman in our story. It brings us on our hands and knees in grateful adoration.
It is impossible for anyone to be saved that does not see himself or herself rightly. The self-justified will reject Jesus in order to elevate themselves. May God never allow us a heart like that of Simon the Pharisee.
