The Work of The Holy Spirit in The World We must rejoice in the work of the Holy Spirit in the world. It is to our advantage that Jesus goes to God the Father (5-7) The disciples are sorrowful at His coming absence (5-6) The Holy Spirit will come to them (7) It is to the world's advantage that the Holy Spirit convicts them (8-11) Concerning sin (9) Concerning righteousness (10) Concerning judgment (11) Applications Trust God's sovereignty in our adversity. Thank God for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in this fallen world! Thank God for the conviction concerning sin that the Spirit brings to the world! Ask the Holy Spirit to shape us in the righteousness of Christ. Understand that the Passion of Christ foreshadows the judgment coming to the evil one, and to all his followers!
