Part 1: We need to remember what we are supposed to already know. God's elect are His chosen ones. This a marvelous thing, that God has chosen people to follow Jesus Christ. We nee also remember that we who believe in Christ will be going against the grain and will be at odds with the world. The elect have been chosen for obedience to God. This is the opposite of saying I am going to have things my way, instead we say to the Lord, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done oh Lord. What is our aim, to have things our way or God's way? Everyday, we need to write God a blank check and be willing to do God's will everyday. The opportunity to serve the Lord anywhere, at anytime, is a blessing from God. We know that God will keep His promises. Jesus alone has been resurrected from the dead never to die again. There is no way that you can lose life in Christ, if you are truly in Christ. We are not saved by what we do, the only hope of anybody, anywhere has is Jesus. We are kept by God and nothing can touch us if our hope is in Jesus, we are looking forward to the salvation that Jesus brings. In the future, things are going to get really bad, and if we don't know Jesus, we will be very scared, however we who are in Christ know what that deliverance is coming. Time is going quickly but what really matters is what happens after we take our last breath. Our relationship with God is what really matters. Our faith is worth more than gold, we are not to sell out. Wherever we are, if we are in the will of Christ, we have hope and are to rejoice. |
