The nation Israel occupies a unique place in the program of God. It is absolutely essential that we are clear on our understanding of Israel and its place in God's plan if we are to have any hope of understanding biblical prophecy. The bulk of biblical prophecy is about Jesus Christ and His plan and program for the nation Israel. That plan and program goes back to the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis chapter 12. When we talk about the Abrahamic covenant, we are talking about the promise of the land of Palestine to the Jews forever. The Abrahamic covenant, can't be annulled just because Abraham's descendants are disobedient. God was the one who made the covenant. God was the one who said, I alone will see that it is carried out.
