John Milward was a fellow of Corpus Christi College and served at a pastorate during the English Interregnum. He was ejected from his pulpit in 1660. Sometime after this he settled in London, and contributed two of the Cripplegate sermons, of which one follows. Though comparatively little is known of his life, we can easily deduce that he was a capable preacher, one who rightly handled the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Matthew 22:39
