1. Dishonesty in lawsuits v. 8 2. The injustice and corruption in the court systems of his day. 3. The terrible testimony caused by taking family disputes out of the family. 4. Loving our Brothers, even to the point of suffering “a wrong” over demanding our rights.

“ Excellent Sermon! ” A lot of excellent wisdom here. It's interesting, when a church is functioning properly, the ripple effect of blessings go far beyond what we think. The series on Church Discipline, coupled with this one, makes that obvious. The church is a beautiful protection for God's people, when ordered rightly from all parties involved: elders, deacons and members. I am so thankful for the beauty of what God has given to us in the local, visable, church. The Lord our God does give the best gifts, and the church is one of them. It is also the means He uses to love His people.
