Paul chooses to use two men as examples of faithfulness to show them that what he had taught them could be done. He points to their passion as well as their problems and how they endured through the good and bad to accomplish the will of God. Perhaps to appeal to the entire church he uses both a younger and an older brother in Christ. Timothy Phil. 2:19-24 and Epaphroditus Phil. 2:25-30. Paul shows us the power Phil. 4:12-19; and Timothy and Epaphroditus are the proof that this mind of Christ really works.
