I began with seven areas of general teaching in the NT that makes me believe the rapture will happen before the tribulation. The first was the fact that it is described as a blessed hope. If we are to go through the tribulation, and we are to be martyred, and our children are to be martyred, and only a small number will suvive execution, then Jesus will come; that is not a blessed hope. But if, before the tribulation begins, Christ comes to take His own home, that is a blessed hope and something to be looked forward to.
