Seven Steps for Peacemaking: "If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men" (Rom. 12:18).
1. Peacemaking depends upon you, not the other person. You and I must recognize our self-centeredness. 2. You must not always require things to be done your way. 3. You must recognize the deeds of the flesh operative in your own life. 4. You must foster the fruit of the Spirit in your life. 5. You must foster a spirit of forgiveness in your life; always be ready to forgive. 6. You must not be quick to come to your own defense but be quick to repent of your own sins and faults. 7. You must immediately extend actual forgiveness when requested to do so.
