Nobody ever said we had to do it perfectly... we just want to be like Him who is perfect, who also knows exactly what to do with us — and our imperfections — and our lives.
It's not enough for a disciple to do something perfectly... that's not the aim. The aim is his Master... their eye is on their Master. The disciple wants to be like Him, that's enough.
The goal of the disciple is not perfection... the goal of the disciple is not praise. The goal of the disciple is not power. The goal of the disciple is not prestige... The goal of the disciple is a Person! The goal of the disciple is a Person! The goal of the disciple is a Person! The goal of the disciple is his Master... yes, the goal of the disciple is his Teacher. He wants Him! He wants to know Him! He wants to be like Him.
He already knows he's not perfect nor does he desire to be. It's enough for him to be like His teacher. And nothing else is enough.
