What has been placed within Genesis 15 is beyond our grasp, at least in our lifetime. It is the most complexed passage in the Bible, and the most valuable for your ability to understand the rest of the Bible. Well, the two birds here wind up taking us to some really interesting understandings. The first door you open up is leprosy, which takes us to Meriam, then Gehazi, but now we stop at Naaman for a little while. This is in 2 Kings 5, but he's dipped in the Jordan River! Who else gets dipped in the Jordan River?
In 2 Kings 6 we have this floating ax head in the Jordan River. Then the Ark crosses the Jordan River. Is this the same spot where Jesus Christ Himself wants to be dipped? Oh yes. God loves this spot. What meaning does this River have? It starts at Adam and ends in death.
But here's Naaman. He's dying. That's where we get back to leprosy. But what does he do after he is healed? He takes two mule loads of dirt. ... Wait a minute. Does that make any sense at all? Okay! This is where you dig to find the buried treasure. Why? Because the purpose of 2 Kings 5 is to show you Salvation by Grace.
