The government, CDC, our governor, etc. will not get everything right but our hope and trust are not in them. "Who is in charge here?" Jesus! Therefore… 1. Your exalted Lord has authority over everything in heaven and earth (and that includes the virus). We trusted Jesus on Jan. 1, 2, 3 — we didn't know about this virus and yet we knew we could get cancer, heart attack, this or that disease, etc. We by faith lived our lives. We are not in a different situation – nothing has changed except we have to reckon with our mortality that much more. Was Christ less in control over our lives on Jan. 1 than He is now? The same Lord guided us and will lead us through this. 2. Your exalted Lord has specific orders for you! 3. Your exalted Lord promises to be with you forever! •Christ is with us through His Spirit; Christ is with us as touching His omnipresence; Christ is with us covenantally, in that we are His people and His presence is one of grace and mercy to us and not a bare presence with no benefit.
