Here we see that Jesus was not only present at the 1st creation, that of the physical universe, but all things were made through Him and He was involved in all the details of it. And here we see Him also as the beginning of the 2nd creation when by His coming into the world, He would accomplish this great work of redemption and then apply it in the gift of the New Birth to all of God's Elect making them new creatures. And so God wants us to see the glory of the 1st creation and look from it to the glory of the 2nd or new creation in Christ. I would like you to follow me into this subject this morning by showing you how our great salvation in Christ is pictured for us in the 1st creation. I will do this by making 3 observations.
