Psalm 23 is probably one of the most popular Psalm in the bible, if you type into Google and search for the most popular Psalm, or most comforting psalm, or even psalms to memorized Psalm 23 is very often number one on the list or at least near the top. And rightly so, it is a Psalm of acknowledgement of the Lord being our shepherd it is a psalm of peace and of restoration, a psalm of correction and comfort in difficult times, and it is a psalm of promise, verse 4 says Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Our world has fallen onto a valley, a shadow; into a dark time. Our world has become a world engulfed with fear and as one person said' has lost much of its critical thinking'. Two weeks ago on March 17th Liesa and I along with Hannah were sitting in our living room after supper, were reading some of the news updates of the day, that day the BC school system shut down due to the Covid 19 virus, along with the schools were pubs and bars, restaurants and coffee shops and all other areas and events of social gathering and interaction. This signaled the first steps of the social distancing policies we see being implemented today.
