Paul, during his first missionary journey, travelled with Barnabas to the city of Antioch in Pisidia. At the local synogogue, the Elders asked Paul to share a word of exhortation. Paul spoke of Israel and her history and the coming of the Savior of Israel. Throughout her history, Israel constantly fell, but God continually raised her up. Eventually, God raised up for Israel a Savior, the Messiah, the Son of David. The people of God often fall, but God will always raise his people up. Never forget that he has raised up a Savior for us. Though everything can be taken from us, even our very lives, nothing can take Jesus away.
