And so we must deal with the doctrine of perfectionism. I term this Biblical perfectionism because there is an heretical doctrine prevalent in Christendom which teaches that we can reach a level of perfection in this life which cannot sin. Biblical perfectionism says that we should not sin, but acknowledge our ever-present propensity to it; therefore we must seek for Divine assistance to wage a constant battle against it.
