Telos: To instruct the Congregation on the importance of the 8th Commandment.
This evening, the Lord helping us, we want to consider the 8th Commandment, “Thou shalt not steal.” We have six brief points:
Taking or withholding anything contrary to God’s will is stealing. Hijacking, kidnapping, robbery, burglary, shoplifting are, of course, forbidden. Evasion of Tax, Tithes and Dues are also theft Fraud and Dishonest gains of any sort are clearly forbidden. Taking advantage of other’s mistakes is violation of 8th commandment. Seeking wealth through by gambling and lottery would also be contrary.
