Telos: To instruct the Congregation on the importance of the 7th Commandment.
This evening, the Lord helping us, we want to consider the 7th Commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” We have eight brief points:
• All sexual indulgence outside marriage is unchaste. • Do not think that you are immune to this sin. • Unless you guard your eyes, you will fall. • Lust can be provoked in some situations: Flee from them. • Treat members of the opposite gender in church as brothers and sisters. • Earlier marriage may be the solution for some. • Remember your marital vows and duties • Yield not to a moment’s pleasure, but yield yourself to Christ.
