If we are really going to be like Jesus we are going to have to learn to take the demeaning insults, slanders, lies, and hatred of the devil's servants without allowing our feelings to lead us into responding to them in kind. Jesus was sent by the Father to preach the Gospel of redemption and set the captives free, not to win an argument with a bunch of blind Pharisees. Nothing they said about Him, or to Him, caused Him to lose his focus on his mission to show mankind what the Father in Heaven is like. If we are going to be like Jesus, then we must learn to give an answer, led by the Spirit of God, with patience and love toward those who hate us without a cause.
