A Balanced Love and Guidance
"There's something else that I see in his counsel and guidance toward her. I also see a little grittiness with him. And there's nothing wrong with having a little grittiness. He was gentle. He was gracious. But he was also gritty. What did he tell her. He said, Don't think for one moment, you don't escape from these things being the queen. Number two, if you don't do something, it's going to have a detrimental effect to you and your line, your family is going to stop at this point, God's gonna deliver the rest of them but because you neglected to act when you had the authority to act and you could make a difference. It's going to have a consequence on you. He showed some grit in it. What I mean by is he didn't cover up what would the outcome of her not doing something positive for the glory of God, that it could be costly. And sometimes we believe if we're gracious, and we're gentle, we can't be gritty as well. And, and I'm thankful for God who was gracious, but also shows a lot of grit. When he tells us the consequences of us not doing what he asked us to do, amen. And we need to be balanced in that way that were gentle, when needed, that were gracious at all times. And that we also have some grit with us that really points out the truth of the matter. And that this can rescue people or this could harm people, this is not the right way to go. Or this is the wrong way to go. We need to be able to step in and help people when it's necessary. Don't you want to pastor with as little grit to tell you not to go this direction, even though you may not like hearing it."
