I try to always remember... like our clothes, it takes heat to work out wrinkles! (1 Peter 5:10-11 & Psalm 66:10-12) And there's always a wrinkle or two that needs to be pressed out of me. So, my faithful Creator turns up the heat, as when we iron our clothes to get the stubborn wrinkles out.
Family dedication... yesterday we set the morning aside to share our love for the fruit of the womb and the family. One of our sweet couples made public their desire to lovingly lead their little girl in a way that will always point her to Jesus and surround her with a faith family that will diligently encourage and equip them for the journey of parenthood and life.
And, in spite of our flaws and shortcomings, we recognize we've been given the stewardship of shaping and molding our arrows for God's glory.
I taught on three primary ways we shape our arrows... our children learn so much from us, as they watch:
1. How we treat people.
2. How we deal with problems.
3. How we handle pride.
