The new life results in a new lifestyle with the transformation of character is carried out by the indwelling Holy Spirit from the inside outward. As a child of God and a member of the family of God there are many blessings to be realized and much potential as each believer is gifted and enabled to serve the Lord. This epistle concludes with five commands to believers to be doing ongoing in this new life. Believers are to rejoice in the Lord, be being restored and mended, be comforted, be like-minded, and to live in peace with one another. The degree of oneness in the local body of Christ will be according to the measure that each individual is being and becoming who God has made them to be, in effect, maximizing their potential as a child of God and new creation in Christ.
