About 600 years before Christ's first coming God revealed details to the prophet Ezekiel concerning His plans to restore the nation of Israel back into the land promised them. Since 1948 Israel has been restored back into this very land.
Spiritually as the people of God they have yet to be brought into a right relationship with God by their repentance and turning to Jesus Christ as their promised Messiah. God revealed to Ezekiel details concerning how He will accomplish this spiritual rebirth of the nation.
At a future point in time the people will go through the Great Tribulation for a period of seven years. Midway through this period there will be an assembly of nations who align themselves against Israel with the intention of destroying the people and taking over the land. As God has specifically revealed which nations these will be, what becomes evident is that the common denominator will be their Islamic faith. Ultimately it will be God who uses their evil intentions in His plan for the ultimate salvation of His people.
