Theme: The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is a paramount reason to believe on Jesus as your Savior. In John 20:1-4, we see the strange circumstances of the resurrection. Mary arrives at the tomb to find the stone rolled away. In vv. 5-7, Peter and John investigate the resurrection. In vv. 8-9, we see the disciples' response of faith to the resurrection. In application, we need to recognize the uniqueness of the resurrection, consider the evidence of the resurrection, and respond by believing on Christ. As followers of Jesus, because He lives, we have hope. We can have joy! For those who do not know Christ, the greatest thing you can do is repent of your sin and believe on Jesus. He is the only source of eternal life!
