But not just in the physical realm, but the spiritual real too for we have an adversary, the devil or Satan, who holds the power of death over us. Not just the threat of death but also the fear of dying in order to keep us in bondage. But Jesus Christ, by His death, came to render powerless Satan who holds the power of death over us. Jesus Christ removed the threat associated with death by paying for all of our sins at Calvary, so we have no fear of future judgment. And Jesus Christ, by His death and resurrection answers all of the fears associated with dying. Death has been swallowed up in victory! Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
