As the local church is gathered together there is to be a unity created by the Spirit with the diversity that individuals will bring. This diversity will have differences in levels of maturity, preferences, personality, and past experiences. Learning to love one another and get along will be an ongoing process requiring all to have an attitude of humility and willingness to make adjustments in the matters that are in regard to personalities and personal ways of doing things. Two practical efforts are necessary for each individual in the local church for the local church to function with the unity of the Spirit. These are discussed as a willingness to deny self for the benefit of others and to accept one another, both of which Christ has done for each one.
