There are two genealogies of Jesus. One in Matthew 1:1-17, and One in Luke 3: 23-38. In the family line that we just read we see a Genealogical line of Jesus Christ Through Mary. A little side note for you here. notice that verse 23 reads "being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli," There is no mention of His mother here, even though this is her family line. Luke's account moves backwards form Jesus to Adam. There have been many sermons about the Attributes of God, and not really much attempt to fully understand God, as He has revealed Himself in Scripture. So far we have studied God the Trinity; God the Father; and God the Son. What needs to be in the forefront of our understanding of God is that, while God the Father is Spirit, and Dercree's all things. God the Son eternally existed as Spirit until the Conception of Mary, by God the Holy Spirit, when God the Son entered into that first cell and life began. This is the reason I am Pro-Life, because Jesus was in His mothers womb from the moment of conception of the Holy Spirit. God the Son was predestined to become something that God had never been. He has always been God, and always deserved worship and honor, praise adoration, exaltation. When we read from the Psalms this morning, did you hear the fear and majesty that was hearlded! This psalm of David is full of praise both for who God is and what He does. ‎When God the Son, stepped into history as Jesus the Man, he didn't stop being God, but rather He divested himself of His divine prerogative, so that He might redeem a people for Himself, and that He might be glorified with a new glory: as Scripture states in. Philippians 2:5–11
